Overhead Throwing Assessment

Why Schedule a Baseball Video Throwing Assessment?

Poor Mechanics Hurt Your Velocity and Your Arm

Slow motion video analysis during specific phases of pitching allow us to draw and track exact angles, identify good quality form, and recommend where  improvement is needed.  Implication on velocity, pitch efficiency and risk of injury are discussed.

Who Can it Help?

  • Athletes trying to breakthrough a velocity barrier.

  • Athletes wanting to take their game to the next level; high school, college, or semi-professional.

  • The athlete who has recent, intermittent shoulder and/or elbow discomfort and/or pain.

  • The athlete who has had growth plates issues.

  • The athlete who has been advised "to shut it down" from throwing.

  • The athlete who keeps "tweaking" their shoulder or elbow.

  • The athlete who needs to use ice, a brace/sleeve, or take medication to get through the season.

  • Has had  multiple trips to the doctor, therapy, or chiropractor.

  • Has been discharged from therapy but are unsure how/or if their athlete is ready to  transition back to full time throwing or playing without re-injury.

  • Is returning to play following hip, knee, or ankle injury. (The legs provide 50-55% of the power generated to an overhead task.)

  • Your athlete has recently undergone a growth spurt - either in height or an increase in lean muscle.
